What are Advertising Flags?

What materials are used to create Advertising Flags?
Advertising flags are made using lightweight, flexible poles and high-quality fabric, such as polyester or nylon, which is designed to withstand wind and weather conditions. The flags are printed using a dye-sublimation process which ensures long-lasting, vibrant colors that won’t fade easily.
Why are Advertising Flags effective?
Research has shown that advertising flags are highly effective at drawing attention to businesses or events. In fact, they are at least five times more effective than not having any signage at all. This is because they create an eye-catching focal point for passersby, which can help to generate interest and attract customers.
What types of Advertising Flags are available?
There are three main types of advertising flags available: Feather flags, Teardrop flags, and Square flags. Feather flags, also known as swoop flags, advertising flags, and flag banners, have a curved, feather-like shape that catches the wind and creates movement. Teardrop flags, also called bow flags, beach flags, wing banners, or outdoor flags, have a more rounded, teardrop shape. Square flags are more traditional in shape, resembling a rectangular or square banner.
What’s included in the flag set? Does the flag need to come with a base?
The complete flag set includes a flag, pole, and base. The pole holds the flag in shape, and the base is integrated with a bearing (spindle), which allows the pole to rotate freely. Without the base, the flag will wrap around the pole.
What type of flag base is available for flags?
All of our bases come with a ball-bearing swivel connector, which allows the Teardrop or Feather Flag to spin in the wind. JY Display & Signs offer seven different types of base:
- Spike: Made of heavy-duty steel with a chrome finish. Ideal for temporary fixing into gardens, lawns, fields, verges, beaches, and dunes.
- Chrome cross base with water bag: The cross-section is made from steel with a chrome finish and has a swivel bearing, which allows the flag to rotate freely while in use. The water bag can hold up to 12kg when filled and is ideal for use on both soft and hard surfaces.
- Premium steel cross base with water bag: A powder-coated black steel cross base with a high-quality, low-friction bearing spindle for smooth flag rotation. The water bag can hold up to 12kg when filled and is ideal for use on both soft and hard surfaces.
- Wall Base: An angled wall mount with a rotating spindle for all banners that need to be wall-mounted.
- Fixed floor base: A great stable base for a more permanent attachment. You can safely secure your flag to the wall/floor with this rotating, strong metal mount.
- 10kg Steel baseplate: It’s an all-terrain flag mounting solution. It works on grass, packed dirt, parking lots, indoors, etc.
